Lenten Heart

The first Scripture reading for the Fourth Sunday of Lent (March 15) reminds us that “we see the appearance, but God looks into the heart” (1 Samuel 16:1b, 6-7, 10-13a). As we reach the halfway point in our Lenten journeys, perhaps it is a good time to pause and take stock, with the God who looks into our hearts, of what it is we carry there – the desires, feelings, regrets, joys, sorrows – for ourselves, for those we love, for our world.

In the comment section below, HeartSpeak invites you to share what you find as you and God look into your Lenten heart. Continued blessings on your Lenten journey!
